If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?

be kind.

It’s His kindness that leads us to repentance. Romans 2:4

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you – Ephesians 4:32

I find kindness to be such an attractive quality in others! And, I will say…it’s not the same as being nice. It’s not the same as philanthropy. It’s not the same as what some popular YouTubers are doing – giving or being nice to others in order to get recognition, prestige, followers or fame.

Kindness asks “how are you doing?” and waits for the real answer. Kindness cares enough to do the hard thing for someone else – even if it may seem to negatively impact one’s own relationship or status with them. Kindness is clear. It’s stepping into the hard conversation. It’s stating and living with boundaries.

So again, I’ll say… be kind.
